    IM Fell English

Two digitisations from the same Oxford collection: DW Pica for headings and pull quotes, IM Fell English for the paragraphs beneath, so a page keeps one seventeenth-century texture from title to text.

BPOZZ Design Note

Stanley Morison found the large Fell types 'difficult to characterize and impossible wholly to approve', because their cutter, Peter De Walpergen, pushed the contrast between thick and thin strokes further than his Dutch models had.
