Image Picker
Extract beautiful palettes from your photos.
How the Image Picker works
The Image Picker turns a photo into a small, usable palette. A sample photo is loaded when the page opens; choose Browse image to use your own JPG, PNG or WebP file, up to 25 MB.
Your image is read and processed in your browser. The Image Picker does not send it to BPOZZ or to anyone else.
To find the colors, the tool works on a small, scaled-down copy of the image and groups similar pixels with median-cut quantization, a long-established color-reduction method. Each group becomes one swatch, and the dots on the image show where each color was taken from.
Adjusting the palette
- Use + and − to choose between 3 and 8 colors.
- Move the variation slider to try eight different ways of dividing the image's colors, from the same photo.
- Click or tap anywhere on the image to replace the nearest swatch with the exact color at that spot. Changing the color count or the variation starts again from the extracted palette.
Exporting your palette
-
CSS, Code, Tailwind
and SVG copy the palette to your clipboard as CSS
custom properties, a JSON list of HEX values, a Tailwind
colorsblock, or an SVG of swatches. - Image downloads the palette as a PNG.
- Share opens your device's share sheet where the browser supports it, and X and Pinterest open a new post. All three share the palette's HEX values as text, not your image.
