Pairs well with

  • Body

    IBM Plex Serif

A sibling for the prose around the code. Built on shared Plex metrics, inline code sits in serif paragraphs without jumping in size, and the switch from serif to fixed width shows exactly where code starts.

  • UI

    IBM Plex Sans Condensed

Narrow labels over wide data: column headers and filters in the condensed cut leave the horizontal space to the fixed-width values beneath them, without leaving the Plex family.

BPOZZ Design Note

IBM Plex was designed as coordinated siblings — Sans, Sans Condensed, Serif and Mono — and in the files here Plex Mono shares its x-height and cap height exactly with Plex Serif and Plex Sans Condensed. That is what lets code, labels and prose from the family sit on one line without looking mismatched.
